Its not that I didn't TRY!, but nothing worked to archive. I just didn't
want to start over with a new database until I had solved the archiving
problem. The only export that seemed to work was the old one, Emailer
Archive, and it takes forever, especially as I have to sit in front of
the maching, and click OK each attachment. ;-(

I was still struggling with Email Archiver for one, when this blew up.

I could manually duplicate the existing database structure, but I wanted
to save the sig files, addresses, etc. There are 30 email accounts, 100
sig files etc, I would have liked to have saved.

The Eudora exporter had a different problem, I don't remember what. I
will try it again, with the last backup. All in all, if I can merge the
old and new emails into one database, I will only have lost about 10 days
of mail .;-)

But I am glad I can run two copies without worry, which I will set up
this week.

thanks, I will update when I get a little more through this. I want to
try the rebuild tricks, but ran out of ideas. I will dedicate a machine
to trying tricks. ;-)

July 24, 2003 Bill Gates acknowledged today that Microsoft's error
reporting service indicated that 5 percent of all Windows-based computers
now crash more than twice each day.
