Well, to share the whole truth, what I described is what I /used/ to do with Emailer. These days I use Thunderbird, set to "View -> Message Body As -> Plain Text" which shows me the nice, readable, text - just like Emailer! The big advantage is that there are no "Enclosed#xx.html" files cluttering my HD and no need to switch from Thunderbird to read the message. BTW, Thunderbird has a "When displaying HTML messages marked as junk, sanitise the HTML" setting for those who want to view HTML messages but don't want to trigger web bugs, images, etc. in spam.
