Roger had >not found that the Norton suite is buggy. I have found it >stable. I also haven't found that it slows my Macs. Nor have I found it to >destroy a hard drive during a repair.
A recent comparison by Tidbits flagged up very similar problems with Norton. Their conclusions supported Roger's later advice to use Apple's Disk First Aid first, then AlSoft DiskWarrior. My recollection is that two other repair packages did OK, Norton coming an unrecommended last.
