Set up a PPP dial up account. Connect with that, then use Emailer over that TCP connection to get your AOL mail.
I seem to recall that AOL did something to remove the Emailer direct dial functionality a year or 2 back. Or maybe it was just that Emailer can't force open the OSX PPP connection from Classic.
