If you find such, let me know. I've recently undertaken a new client that requires heavy wireless work. So I've been forced to come up to speed on the technology. I have yet to see anything that does a good comparison between makes/models, so if you find such, I would be interested in seeing it. I can tell you that the actual distance you will achieve is dependent on a number of things. 1: Access Point (power output, QoS, encoding types, and general ability to handle the service), 2: Antenna (gain, type, position), 3: Location (placement of access point, what is near it, what is between you and it), 4: Interference (other devices using the same channel, or general radio interference including but not limited to phones, microwaves, electric motors, and the Wireless Gods, who I can only assume are the children of the much older, and equally finicky, SCSI Gods.) -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
