If you find such, let me know. I've recently undertaken a new client that 
requires heavy wireless work. So I've been forced to come up to speed on 
the technology.

I have yet to see anything that does a good comparison between 
makes/models, so if you find such, I would be interested in seeing it.


I can tell you that the actual distance you will achieve is dependent on 
a number of things. 

1: Access Point (power output, QoS, encoding types, and general ability 
to handle the service), 

2: Antenna (gain, type, position), 

3: Location (placement of access point, what is near it, what is between 
you and it), 

4: Interference (other devices using the same channel, or general radio 
interference including but not limited to phones, microwaves, electric 
motors, and the Wireless Gods, who I can only assume are the children of 
the much older, and equally finicky, SCSI Gods.)
