If anyone is still connecting a computer to the internet without some kind of firewall in the way, then they are just nuts. ShootTheMessenger is really only needed for machines that aren't behind a firewall. Although I still use it on all my Windows machines anyway, just for good measure. >This retaliation system, called "WebPoison" is intended to flood the >spammer's harvester with scores of randomly generated fake email >addresses for him to eat and use. Of course, it does not do any damage to >genuine web robots which respect the signposts "visiting permitted" / "do >not visit" I've heard of this. I may take a better look at it. I thought of implimenting it on my web site a while ago, but didn't bother. Recently I have been getting hit with spams to harvested addresses, so it may be time to seek a little revenge. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
