Dear Don-
I am not a programmer, more like a dummie using a computer but I surely would love it if someone could update Emailer, capturing all the good and adding what is needed to upgrade it for new OS etc. Probably all of us might have some ideas for improvements but tell me, how do you get by copyright etc.. Emailer is so great and current programs seem to be so lacking that I really feel there is a great market for improved Emailer.
So I for one hope you will follow through with your idea.

regards,
doug

Amazing how after more than a decade one keeps discovering new neat
tricks in CE. By accident I highlighted a name in an open email and hit
Control-F to do a search. Presto! the highlighted name was already in the
search box. I dare say others alreadyknow this, but maybe not everyone.

Ya know... for a long time I've toyed with the idea of getting back into writing programs. The last (only) bit I ever did was to write in the old Applesoft Basic looooooong ago on an old 2c. Perhaps the biggest incentive would be to write my own email client that would be directly able to run exactly the way _I_ want it to.

It occurs to me that people on this list (Chris + ?) might have a
good clue what programming language would be most suited to that task.
If I must get back into it, I might as well do so with a project that
I WANT to do it with instead of just fiddling around for the sake
of fiddling.

I'd be happy with some feedback on this thought. Perhaps part of
the appeal would be just so I knew every nuts and bolts thing about
it once it was done. The biggest challange would be to really put
the options into it so it can be made to do most anything someone
might want it to.

What language do you guys think? Thoughts? Comments? Anybody else
want to do it (too) ?

Don
