I swithced to Mail about a year ago.  I like it, but the biggest beef I have is that it won't update mailing lists based on the subject line like CE will. I was having the exact same problem with CE, and it eventually pushed me to Mail. Here's my workaround:
Create a mail action that will take any incoming message with the subject "Respond" (or whatever unique word you choose), reply to the sender and delete the original.

Then send yourself an email from the same account with that as the subject line. Once you connect and send the message, create and send a 2nd message to yourself, wait a minute or two, then send it. That way, you'll always have an incoming message from yourself and mail should open incoming messages.

Subject: Mail 2.0.3 in Tiger (10.4) reviews?

Hi all,

I've been using Emailer for years, but lately it has stopped unpacking incoming messages -- I find I need to forward myself a 'test' message in order to force it to kick out the latest incoming messages that I saw it pick up in the connection box.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if now might be a time to change over to Mail -- since with newer version seems to support a lot of the things I use a lot.

Any reviews, or caveats?

Ann
