Yes, Folders in web mail is "weird".

We did: select NOT to leave email on server, and fetched all email again
from SBC mail server.

Login via IE, and found that Inbox empty, but all sub folders are still
with all the "filed" email.

Then CE started to fetch new email from SBC account, seems to work now.
Must be as Chris has suspected (he knows), it was a mess up on tag of
which is old which is new when SBC switch their server machines.

At this time:
1. location 1 (office): with our T-1 line, static IP, it seems to work
after we cleared up the "new/old"email counter issue.

2. location 2 (home): with DSL, dynamic IP, unable to do any sending of
email unless it's SBC account. No way to send out email using email
account that belongs to other domains while using CE. We can however
send email under multiple(any other) email address using other programs.

The issue we believe is with what we read on SBC's web site:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Port 25 filtering: Port 25 filters are widely used by
many ISPs to combat junk email and spam from
mis-configured and virus-infected computers. On May
24, 2005, the Federal Trade Commission specifically
recommended that ISPs employ Port 25 filters to combat
the spread of spam and viruses. SBCIS has been
pro-active in its spam prevention efforts and, as
announced in the September 2004 Member newsletters,
has already began filtering direct outgoing email
connections using Port 25 (SMTP) to non-SBCIS/Yahoo
mail servers from Members using dynamic DSL and Dialup
connections.

Because of the Port 25 filters, Members using a
private company, university or hosting provider mail
server (i.e. non-SBC Yahoo! mail server) will not be
able to send outgoing email from dynamic DSL and
Dialup connections without taking the steps outlined
by SBCIS at
http://help.sbcglobal.net/article.php?item=4640
------------------------------------------------------------------------

To me, it's either upgrade to static IP, or go on migrating to other mail
programs.... but we have so much email on CE that we can literally find
anything from the last 10 years on email. Our email database files are
(as of today):

- Mail Database 481.1MB
- Mail Index 85.4MB

(and we'd just rebuild the database last week, hope to reduce the file
size and see if it will help on the email fetching situation).

Changes are good ?

Thanks again to all for all your help and comments and suggestion, and
feedback.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Shenan
