This territory is familiar ground to others.
I need precise instructions so as no to lose the contents of
my Emailer folders.

I have Emailer installed on two volumes: one with OS 9
the other with OS X

I learned I didn't need two copies of Emailer; that one
would be accessible to the other...... whichever volume I was
using. The problem is: with the two volumes, I have two
separate Mail and Mail Index lists. I only want one.

I have been using only one.

Now, I wish to discard one, and continue to use only one
copy of Emailer..... with the data (folders for email, together
with the mails) that is on the volume OS 9.

What is the best way to accomplish this without endangering the
Mail and Mail Index information accumulated over several years.

(*my* plan ... not yet tried... would have me make copies of the
two folders, then discard everything else that appears on a search
for Emailer done on volume OS X; following which I would then
install the copies Mail and Mail Index folders in the remaining
Emailer in OS 9)

Does that sound right; or ???
