If you are going to go thru the effort of trashing everything and then putting back what you want to keep... wouldn't it be just as easy to manually delete what you don't want in the first place? Just open your downloads folder and drag anything you don't want to the trash. Or, if you feel compelled to do all this from inside emailer, drag the attachment from the email to the desktop, then to the trash.
