Most of the attachments that I want to delete arrive via email messages that I also want to delete. And to accomplish that I use an old script named: "Trash messages and attachments" Any selected message(s) and their attachment(s) are deleted - attachments go to the Trash. The message(s) involved are really Deleted - they are not in the Deleted Items folder. Worked in OS 9 and works great in Classic.
