If the group is still working on creating a new Emailer, I have some input!
I have not gotten very far setting up either Mail or, more recently, Gyzamail, because the OSX AddressBook keeps getting in my way. (Why, for instance, couldn't it import CE's addresses in groups? I had to recreate the whole hierarchy from a mess of undifferentiated addresses. And then it applies home/work appellations without even asking if they are appropriate. ) Perhaps I just need to learn to use it (tips in that regard would be welcome), but I must say that the BEST thing about the present CE Address Book is the ability to add addresses by dragging a list of them into a new Group. I administer a club's membership list. All summer long this list is added to bit by bit so, whenever I need to send a mailing out to the current membership, I copy and paste that column (of up to 180 addresses) from the current Excel spreadsheet containing membership info into Tex-Edit, remove any spaces and then simply drag the whole list into a new Group pane. I have not been able to figure out how to set up such a group in such a way with AddressBook so can't even imagine how I am going to create these mailings if I have to give up Emailer anytime soon.
