Just to clarify, as far as I know, MailSmith is a text only email client, 
just as Emailer is. 

The "better" handling comes, I believe, in the form of doing similar to 
the HTML to Body and Strip script for CE. If no Plain Text portion of the 
email exists, you don't get a blank email with an HTML attachment as you 
do in Emailer, instead, MailSmith converts the HTML to plain text and 
uses it for the body of the email (stripping off the HTML code in the 
process).


I could be mistaken on that issue, but in my testing, I have no yet run 
into an email that MailSmith couldn't display as plain text. I admit I 
have not really investigated it, but considering I get several a day in 
Emailer that have HTML attachments, and I've not had one in MailSmith... 
either I have had a massive coincidence that no effected emails have 
arrived while using MailSmith, or it does as I mention above and simply 
converts the HTML to plain text.
