Interesting Chris :  I have mail.adelphia.net in my SMTP field at the 
moment.
But have occasionally received error messages that mention the Network 
stream
Error (don't know what DNS is).  It usually happens when I send out my 
group event
notices.  I break these up alphabetically and send them out in groups of 
about 30,
not all are returned with that NSE message.

Neville:  How do you "ping" the server - is that "select"?
