I have a fancy new iMac G5 which will handle alot of big apps etc and, os
course is lovely to look at and space conscious.

But I still use my Pismo for nearly everything and decided to get the
iMac instead of a new Powerbook after looking at all the new ones and
finding them lacking in comfort.

I upgraded the memory on the Pismo to 768mg, so it handles Tiger nicely,
upgraded the CD ROM drive (which never worked anyway) to a Combodrive and
bought a compatible Buffalo Wifi card. [The Pismo has a PC slot so that
was a cinch - ha! not really - it tooks weeks of trouble-shooting until I
realized that the router that was fixed once needed to be fixed twice -
the card worked perfectly.]

The Pismo is such an ergonomically superior machine that it has spoiled
me for everything else! Even though it is a teensy bit slow and has a
rather dull screen and a miniscule HD (which can be upgraded too!), I
just use my desktop for apps that need it or my external HD (Pismo has
firewire!)or my iPod if I need more space.

Cheers,

Tannis
