Fear not, the "people" have been seeing thru these lies for a while.
Alas, short of a revolution, there is little we can do about it in a
speedy manner. And we don't really like revolutions in our own
country (helping others have them is just fine). We have to wait
until election times to change who is in control and start getting
answers.
That was just done. The "republican" party has been knocked out of
power in congress and the "democrats" have been moved up. Now they
can start asking questions and demanding answers (previously, if they
asked questions, the republican's could vote to ignore them and since
they made up the majority, they would always win... now the democrats
make up the majority).
Of course, at the speed the government seems to work with important
matters (unimportant ones, they can rush right thru... but important
stuff, they seem to drag their feet on), by the time anyone actually
starts demanding answers... it will be 2008 and we will be electing a
new president anyway, and then (hopefully) this will all change by
itself (can't say if it will change for the better or worse, as
frankly all politicians are evil, some are just more so than others)
