I just telneted to that server on 587 and it doesn't look like it supports SMTP Authentication. The port 587 version of Emailer is a modified version of the SMTP Auth version, so it will send Login type authentication for all outbound email attempts.

Thus, if they don't support SMTP Auth Login method, the connection will fail, which is what it appears is happening now.
