In emailer Digest V2007 #56, the person identified as Yersinia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> thoughtfully said:
>My Powerbooks all have CE on them, and are configured with the local >access number, the one local to HIS town, for my ISP, as well as my >home-local one in case my desktop Mac is down. So when I'm up there, I >just hook a telephone wire to my Powerbook and tell it to dial in, and >have CE pick up my email, then I reply and send. That'll do it! I do the same thing when we are travelling in areas where BellSouth has local dialup numbers; used to do it =anywhere= when I had a CompuServe account and carried a PowerBook 180... However if you're where your "home" ISP doesn't have "local dialup" or access numbers, rather than deal with the "relaying" problem WebMail is an easier solution. -- Selah!
