Bea writes, <I am wondering beside backing up data via the Mail Index, and Database whether it is also possible to back up the numerous file folders - in other words the whole of Claris Emailer (Application included)?
Any guidance most appreciated as usual> For me, the entire Emailer backup procedure consists of this: Drag my *whole intact Claris Emailer folder* (inside of which I also keep both the regular installer for 2.0v3 and the Port 587 version Chris directed me to some time back) straight onto my external HD. I do this once a week. Now if I want to use CE on my iBook like I did on vacation last summer, I drop the whole folder onto my flash drive and move it into the iBook that way. When done on the iBook (like when I came home from vacation), I put the "new" CE folder back on the flash drive, then back on the G4 so I get to keep the whole thing updated. Yes, that's all there is to it. I've never heard of "backing up data via the Mail Index" or any other such complicated nonsense concerning backing up my Emailer. I just drag and drop the whole works in a single shot like that, and it's fine. I suggest you do the same. :-) ~Yersinia. ________ "Girls will be girls, boys will be toys." ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
