Hi All The cause of my connection problems with CE finally came clear last weekend when I returned home to discover that my modem had decided to give up completely. Apparently it wasn't JUST the bad (but new) harddrive - and this explained why CE sometimes wouldn't connect.
Finally, both computers are online wirelessly, but only after the new modem had been replaced! What is with quality control these days? I got Mail to work with new ISP but had to download Chris's CE-P3 patch, to make CE work - it immediately solved the basic connection problems. However I can't now get gmail accounts that I had set up in CE even after reading Gmail's how to pages. Does anyone have any idea how to do this for CE? Also, how would I do it in Mail - I am having to use dreaded webmail to send this as I am subscribed using a gmail address. Thanks for the time and effort you have put into troubleshooting this one for me. It is so confusing when there are two, totally unrelated, problems creating similar symptoms!
