I was kind of surprised to have trouble with that file, and suspect it is close to a program bug in the PNG viewer under Linux, and not really a problem with the png files themselves. I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one with a crummy system too old/small/outdated to handle that file. PostScript is pretty good for the Linux crowd (and who the hell else would want to read these, anyway?) so you might see if GhostView can handle these. They will be a lot bigger than the png, but if they just work, that may not matter. I have published a number of circuit diagrams and board/connector layout drawings on my web pages in png, and was surprised at the problems. But, they are all fairly small.
