The problem seems to be that a kernel compiled with APM/ACPI support gets overruns when power management events occur. I don't think this is preventable because the BIOS is involved with power management - it's not just the kernel. It may be possible to do something in /proc to get the kernel to ignore power events (like "battery status"), but I'm suspicious that disabling handling of events doesn't prevent the events from occurring (and causing RT problems). - Steve ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
