Yes That was the point I was trying to make. Because Windows/most GUI
are 'discoverable' and have a 'shorter modify / test cycle time' people
get used to not reading the manual just point and click till they get what
they want. I do it all the time too the difference is If i get stuck I will
read the manual! It's just like you said You don't have to know/remember
everything to start to use it. I don't really like the command line either
as I always forget how the commands are used/spelled. But I do
understand that the command line allows alot more flexibility the a GUI.
your pyvcp program helper sounds interesting. I thought about a
program that would have test panels for all the existing drivers and
sniff out their pin names connecting to them . A project for later.

Yes thats the one I was speaking of . He was responsive just not very
helpful to me :) Also his software claims to include a serial slave routine
but after looking at the code it is not finished. I asked for some direction
...guess he was busy. No big deal.
