You can install Cygwin/X on the Windows box, and connect via ssh -X or 
-Y.  You may have to fiddle with xhost on the emc machine (xhost 
+ip.of.windows.machine).

You can run any of the UIs or other tools then, and the application 
windows act like they're part of the Windows desktop.  No screwdrivers 
or extra monitors needed.
