It's time to talk about the emc 2.4 schedule.
For the emc 2.4 release cycle, the plan is that release manager duties
will be split between me and Stephen Wille Padnos.
I've started a wiki page where we can detail the 2.4 plans:

The schedule is substantially similar to the 2.3 schedule, which I feel
worked well. We have two important external concerns for the 2.4
schedule: Ubuntu 10.04 in April and CNC Workshop in June.
I anticipate that we will build packages for Ubuntu 8.04 (starting with
the emc 2.4 beta packages) and Ubuntu 10.04 (after its official release).
I doubt we will do an 8.04/2.4 live CD, but online upgrades from 2.3 to
2.4 will be supported.
