I'm working on supporting two mesa boards with pncconf.
I have the pages complete for picking signals but now must
figure out how to handle the Hal pin names and how to properly load
the firmware, so...
I have some questions regarding hostmot2:
- Can I load multiple cards on separate lines ? eg:
loadrt hm2_pci config="firmware=hm2/5i20/SVST8_4.BIT num_encoders=3
num_pwmgens=3 num_stepgens=0"
loadrt hm2_pci config="firmware=hm2/5i23/SVST8_4.BIT num_encoders=0
num_pwmgens=0 num_stepgens=2"
Can there be multiply parallel port boards (assuming multiply pports on
computer?
- How does the BoarNum system work?
Does it always go up with the second board or only when the
boardtype and/or firmware are the same?
"hm2_<BoardType>.<BoardNum>.pwmgen.<Instance>"
- If a system has a parallel port and a pci board, does it matter what order
they are loaded?
- is the boardnum numbering system separate for each type of control port?
