Sorry for hijacking this thread, but: Supposedly the torque ripple (above and beyond any motor induced ripple) with trapezoidal mode is about 13% = (1-COS(30))*100 You can hear that the noise gets worse under load Not sure if this noise is caused by actual speed modulation or the noise is from the magnetics as the PID loop corrects for the torque variation.
