I think your message was a good one, thank you.

I have been on the list for a while and I am beginning to ignore the
issues that seem to come up endlessly. It's good that replies come from
people that aren't normally active on this list. In my opinion, we don't
usually get that much traffic, so I don't think there is any reason for
anybody not to speak their CNC mind (,but it is not for me to say).

Another point, EMC2 is a complex system that requires a lot of time to
get to know. For those that want to get a cheap CNC together simply and
quickly, copy a well established stepper system. If you want to get
creative, expect to be lost and confused in the copious documentation
for a while, with time and experimentation, it should start to make some
sense. 

I view open source software like an oasis in the desert, it could save
your life, or the water could be poisonous and kill you, it just is what
is is.
