This is about half the frequency (375, 460 MHz) of the OMAP3530 CPU in 
the Beagle (now 720 MHz).
Probably not a problem with a servo interface, might be a problem for 
software step generation.
More GPIO is certainly a good thing.  I don't know enough about it to 
comment more.
But, the biggie is that there is no RTAI support for ANY OMAP 
processor.  There is a port
of RT-Linux, and RT-Preempt support in the kernel, though.
