the pin offset could also do edm orbiting
there is a point in the process where the tool is moved in a pattern
to exaggerate its size
since the pattern has a centre, its called an orbit ( tho it can be
circular, square of hemispherical classicly )
i fiddled with injecting a sine & cosine generator connected to a UV
mounted on end of Z
motion past a certain position was feed to amplitude of UV stepgen via
the sin /cos
if the tool retracted to this 'start point' the orbit was 0
if the tool was 5 units down, the orbit was 5 units
it was sort of a 45degree function response ( 1 down = 1 out )
i had been thinking along similar lines when i played this trick
as the depth increases, the spark energy decreases ( as the process
changes from roughing to finishing)
since the energy is smaller, the excursion from centre must increase
so the sparks can 'reach' :)

Beautiful is writing same markup. Internet Explorer 9 supports
standards for HTML5, CSS3, SVG 1.1, ECMAScript5, and DOM L2 & L3.
Spend less time writing and rewriting code and more time creating great
experiences on the web. Be a part of the beta today
