The toolchange routines I wrote allow the use of this type of toolchanger as
shown here, the code is very flexible so it allows the configuration
(positioning, direction and distance between toolholders) to be easyly set up
in
the ini file. For shure, this code does not apply for other many types of
toolchangers but with the help of the comunity and more examples of how this
can
be done I am shure many will write proper code for other toolchanger types and
configurations.
Could you please send a link to any documentation avaliable about the remapping
of M6 into a gcode routine

I believe that that approach didn't make it into a released EMC2
version as it was difficult to make it work on different machine
designs.

You would need to create a patch in git format (git format-patch) and
submit it to the mailing list for consideration.
The problem is that it needs to not break anything else, and add
something that existing code does not.
One concern I have about your code is that it might do the same thing
as the current option to re-map M6 to an arbitrary G-code routine, but
less flexibly. I am not sure if you are aware of this option, and I am
not doing very well at finding any documentation. I suspect if you had
known about it, you might well have done your tool change that way.
By the way, I have no say on what code does and does not get accepted
into EMC2, I don't even know who does decide.
