Well when I said components I meant it in a broader sense:
eg. (the component) AXIS uses INI statements that no other GUI uses.
And technically yes of course your right no HAL component _directly_
uses the INI.
But most (all?) configs use substitution to apply the INI settings to HAL
components.
so a list of INI settings that one _could_ find in the INI file is useful.
You shouldn't have to search around all the drivers to find out why one config
uses
output_offset (though I see no reason one couldn't add the info in the driver
also)
at the same time it would help to mention that it isn't available in most
drivers.
The point I was trying to make is that the writeup about it in the manual is so
detailed
and large that it makes it sound like it is very important to all servo driven
configs,
then you find out though trial that with most common drivers it's not used at
all.
This is what happened to me and it has happened to others.
As far as that goes I am sure there are more ( for instance the AXIS settings
though
at the top of the docs it does say that not all are used in all GUIs if you
happen to read that part :) )
I would make the changes myself - I just didn't want to screw up our docs since
we are in a state of flux and that translations are required ( which I can't do
)
