I think you might have misunderstood the function of the 7i76. The 7i76 is intended as an interface card between a Mesa 5i25 and step/dir input stepper motor drives/amps. You need a 5i25 between your 7i76 and the PC, and stepper motor drivers between the 7i76 and the motors.
