that's a bit confusing, I guess it should say:

'Current position for X, Y, Z, A, B, C, U, V & W, relative to the current 
offsets (G5x, G92), in current program units. Volatile."


that said: there is still no way to retrieve the current *absolute* machine 
position, that is, without any offsets.

I think it would be valuable to have, and have a tentative patch for it using 
predefined named parameters (#<_abs_x> etc); probably an equivalent in #54xx 
makes sense. Opinions?
