hey guys x and y are on the mill i cant seem to get it to calibrate, one
problem ive found is the love joy connector im using. I will have to ditch
that, i am hoping to get it good enough to build a new set of mounts that
will look and function better.I am confused about the microstep setting i
am using these http://www.longs-motor.com/ProductsView.asp?id=192 and do
not know what to set it at. I have a 5 tpi leadscrew and it only gets
within .008 of exactly .100 on the axis test. I got it this close by
trying different microsteps i.e .565 etc. This just doesnt seem right to me
? at.008/.100 thats .08 per inch wow!!! how ugly any thoughts? also any
advice on setting the timing? the data for my drive say pulse ,dir with no
spec for dir hold or space. These seem to run pretty slow for me im running
a 24 v supply would 48 be better? also im running a 2.8 intel duocore w/2
gig is this os 64 bit ready? it seems to me that would make a difference in
latency having twice the throughput? sorry so many questions just trying to
get this thing going thanx fellas
