Matt: Not necessarily related to this specific post, but when you do start digging into this issue again, see what you think of this wording that shows up in much of the LinuxCNC codebase: "something or other about real people, followed by * Author: <blank> * License: GPL Version 2 * System: Linux * * Copyright (c) 2004 All rights reserved." Not only do I find this ambiguous regarding who has the Copyright and hence is in a position to license the use, but it seems self-contradictory to claim "all rights reserved" and also claim a GPL license. In searching the Internet, I find that others have had the same problem.
