Well, had a look at emcrsh and agrees. This does indeed look like a good channel where some control of the cluster will be maintained. You can load a G-codefile and execute it using implemented commands. I guess I have to test this as soon as I'll return to Valdemarsvik where my LinuxCNC-machines are situated. Transferring the file can be done over ftp or you seem to be able to use NFS in Ubuntu? ( I'm in fact both a Linux and a LinuxCNC Newbie. Solaris was my platform when I last did RT development. )
So what's left is some suitable GUI with TCP connectivity or did I miss something?
