The parallel port is still quite a common option, either directly
pin-by-pin or as a deterministic commmunications port (Pico PPMC and
Mesa 7i43 for example).

PCI cards are probably the remainder of the set, with a few legacy ISA
cards and the odd PCI-ext. Ethernet is working in development, but not
ready for release.
