I think that that seems a bit of a strange thing to do.

I believe that it is currently possible (or is intended to be
eventually possible) to plug different interpreters into LinuxCNC.
So, what would make more sense would be an interpreter for STEP-NC to
LinuxCNC low-level calls.

On the same sort of level, it ought to be possible to create a Python
library that exports LinuxCNC motion commands, so you could write
parts in Python.
