This sets the tone for the whole project. It makes it clear what we are trying
to do.

"To produce a Fanuc only Gcode controller using PC hardware"

"To produce a new standard of 'one Gcode to control them all' controller using 
common hardware" 

"To facilitate machine control / integration using common hardware. To lower 
technical knowledge required to integrate machines while still allowing 
flexible customization. To broaden the utilization of linuxcnc to other 
disciplines and hardware platforms. To maintain a stable software set, while
actively integrating advancements. To act on feedback from our user base"


As you can see a mission statement answers some questions before they are asked 
and helps keep us moving in the same general direction.
