Yes I did and I reaffirm that with 'just' that patch, Axis does track
halui but when you go from MDI to Manual <F3> in Axis, there's nothing
telling/requesting any other layer that things should be in manual mode
so the keyboard jogging doesn't work until you click on the +/- jog
icons.
I'm not surprised - the patch doesn't address this (although the halui
tracking tab flipping bit is great).
To draw a bit of a line.... I'll run my current config with your patch,
forget about my extra axisui pins and live with the out-of-sync
possibilities (I've added pyvcp LEDs showing me the halui mode to save
self inflicted confusion).
Going forward, the halui-jit-manual branch seems to cover the bases
rather neatly.... and as I previously said, if there's anything a
LinuxCNC neophyte can do to help get it working I'm more than willing to
have a bash.
