My understanding is that fast threads can always interrupt slower threads. Earlier this year jmk made a change in master that allowed floating point in the base thread. Are you using that? We've had weird problems with floating point registers getting clobbered (overflowing?) occasionally before. Do you have floating point traps turned on?
