It would be nice if 800x480 was usable. That's the most common
resolution for the 7" LCD panels I like to hook to the BeagleBone.

The 1024x600 is the next step up in resolution, followed by 1280x800
(which has dots far too small for my old eyes to read on a 7" display).

It seems like 800x480 ought to be enough pixels for a CNC interface, but
both stepconf and Axis (and most of the other LinuxCNC GUI interfaces)
put up windows larger than this (typically "higher" than the 480
vertical pixels, the 800 wide seems to be tight but OK for most of the
interfaces).

I tried the new stepconf on a 800x480 display.
It is usable but you must position the display just right
and unexpand the parport and driver timing expanders.

I think I could make that better by rearranging things.

Hey weren't you going to send my a BBB pinout conversion chart :) ?

Cheers
