I know I have toys, but mine are (where there are ball screws) either 2.5, or 5mm rev. My biggest ball screw is a 16mmx5mm. Where the acme screws still live, like the toy mill, 10mm .5mmrev, or for z a 1/2x10 tpi. IMO if filling in defaults for newbies, small enough that they are slow but it works, then the newbie asks and gets told how to speed it up. That of course may involve teaching the torque roll off of steppers when they are asked to run faster on limited voltage such as the TB6560 can tolerate, but being too slow, as opposed to so fast the steppers will just sit and buzz, slow seems the best as it will encourage the newbie to explore and learn. 2, 4 or more start screws are for you big fellers to play with. ;-) My $0.02, adjust for inflation since 1934 though. ;-) > Chris M Cheers, Gene -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
