I'm not the 2.4 release manager, Jeff is. It does look like there are some unreleased bugfixes on v2.4_branch that would benefit 2.4 users, if there are still some who have not moved to 2.5 for whatever reason. But keep in mind that the latest build of that branch is always available from the buildbot.
