And I fear that it will be exactly so. Frankly, I don't want a 2.6 that is
not even a change in the size of the chocolate chips used in the cookie
dough.

I want a 2.6 that we can switch in the new motion planner with a keyword
switch in our .ini files. After listening to the progress reports almost
all winter, then to be denied the ability to play with it, take it for a
run & see if it stays on the trail, does not seem to be exposing it to the
shakedown & bug fix phase until the architect has his phd degree & goes on
the greener pastures. Hell, its not even fair to him that he has put some
considerable time & talent into it, and then not get to see it widely used.

To borrow a phrase from a lady engineer friend of mine, Joanne Dow, that
sucks dead toads through soda straws.

So, IMO, hold 2.6 until the TP/motion_planners _are_ switchable. Then turn
it loose so we can find new ways to break it. Otherwise we'll never make
progress even at the rate Mach makes. And from what I read, thats glacial.

Cheers, Gene
