Humm, don't recall that, but probably should back up a versions of 
my_mill, as I believe I was so wet behind the ears that I never did make 
it work on my mill, which also doesn't have a spindle encoder (yet).

That would put it a couple years back up the log, and definitely subject 
to my poor short term memory losses.
