Chris, is there a special reason, why you did not merge the patch "adding replace to hal_sourceview" to 2.6? I tested it and it works just fine. I am only missing a very small feature. If you search, the results are highlighted in yellow. The same happens when you replace, but after replacing everything or not finding a match, the highlight should be erased.
just open i.e. linuxcnc/nc_files/readme.ngc and replace all "debug" with "DEBUG" case sensitive, and you will see what I mean.
