Hello Guys, Hey guys, just wondering how to tell the control, while in the middle of a tool change sequence, that the tool did not get changed. Reason I ask is now we are making chips on our machine, and yesterday our program had a tool change to a tool that was not physically in the carousel, but still in the tool tool table, so the machine started the tool change sequence, and hung up, when it did not see the tool loaded into the spindle.
I realise that I probably should have deleted the tools in the tool table that are not physically in the carousel, but this would also be helpful if maybe during a tool change the tool fell out of the tool changer arm for some reason, the tool changer arm malfunctioned, the tool turret on a lathe malfunctioned, anything really. Just looking for a way to tell the CNC the tool change did not complete successfully, and possibly to perform the same operation as hitting the "ESC" and "F6" keys when initiated, abort a running program, reset the interpreter, etc. -- Thanks Rick Lair Superior Roll & Turning LLC 399 East Center Street Petersburg MI, 49270 PH: 734-279-1831 FAX: 734-279-1166 www.superiorroll.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list Emc-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
